This is a contract for the sale of a Pet quality Havanese.
This document concerns a live animal and is executed with prejudice in favor of that animal’s well being by those
signing. This contract is proof of ownership only and shall not be used for, nor constructed to be an application for
registration of that animal or the get of any animal named herein.
This agreement is made between __________________________________________________(Breeder/Seller) and
___________________________________________________(Buyer), for one black and tan puppy ( X ) dog or ( )
bitch out of Sire________________________________________AKC# ______________________________and
Dam________________________________________________AKC#__________________________ and in litter
#________________________that whelped on (birthday)________________________________which is certified
by its breeder to be a purebred Havanese. The buyer is subject to all the terms and conditions set forth below and
as follows:
This animal and or any offspring of this animal, whether accidentally or deliberately produced shall not be given, sold,
leased or consigned to any commercial pet shop, retail store, dealers, or brokers of any kind, nor any group or
person for use as a prize, bonus or incentive.
This animal is conveyed by this breeder/seller and received by it buyer for the sole purpose of being a
Family Companion/Pet. It must be spayed.
The Breeder/Seller shall provide AKC registration application forms at the time of the sale whenever possible.
If the breeder/seller does not have application form at time of sale, Show registration papers will be mailed to the
buyer when the breeder/seller receives them from the AKC. They will be marked limited registration.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
AKC requires that individual dogs must be registered within one year from the issue date of individual registration
application. The issue date on this litter is___________________________. Therefore allow time enough to submit
them to the AKC. The breeder will not refund any moneys or pay any fines that may be imposed by the AKC
otherwise.
Any misrepresentation of the buyers intentions in the above regards, and any failure of compliance with the terms of
this contract shall be cause for immediate repossession of this animal by its breeder without further notice or refund
of any moneys. While both parties to this agreement shall have clearly defined rights and responsibilities, none shall
supersede the breeders right and obligation to reclaim, repossess, or otherwise regain sole ownership, physical
custody and control of the animal for reasons of it being bused, misused, neglected or for breach of this contract. If
the breeder incurs any expense in the recovery of this animal due to the buyers refusal to return said animal the
buyer shall be responsible for these.
The buyer is to provide all maintenance for the animal including a minimum of once a year the animal is to be seen by
a veterinary. . All vaccinations that are required are to be kept up to date. This animal is to be maintained on a
healthy diet, groomed regularly, is not to be permitted to run at large, and is enclosed in a fenced in area or on a
leash when walked by its owners. The buyer is to take the animal to the vet of their choice within (4) days of
acquiring it from the breeder. If satisfied by the veterinary report, to retain possession and thereafter hold the
breeder blameless and not liable for any further medical conditions of the animal. If NOT satisfied the animal is to be
returned to the breeder within (7) days from the exam.
The buyer is not to sell, give away, or otherwise dispose of the animal for any reason what so ever without first
notifying the breeder of such intent, disclosing fully the reason or reasons for disposal and giving the breeder first
option to repossess the animal or make full arrangements for its placement.
The buyer is to inform the breeder of any change of address or phone numbers on the part of the buyer for as long
as the animal lives.
The buyer is to notify the breeder immediately should the animal prematurely die or develop any conditions requiring
premature euthanasia, except if the death, gross physical injury or otherwise maybe be precisely identified, the
animal is to be autopsied and the buyer to provide the breeder with a complete autopsy report.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I do NOT guarantee any health related issues or loss of life due to reactions caused by
vaccinations or Flea and Tick preparations administered either orally or on the skin surface. I do NOT give
Leptospriosis to my puppies. I give shots spaced apart by 2 to 4 weeks. Havanese can be sensitive to vaccinations.
I DO guarantee the above dog against any LIFE THREATENING GENETIC diseases. As the breeder/seller I have
done everything possible to guarantee the eye lines of the above dog, but cannot be held responsible if something
does develop in the above dogs eyes. Again as the buyer you agree to have the above dog CERF’d yearly and the
results of the examination to be registered with CERF until the age of 6 years.
Just to Clarify:
A pet quality dog is one who will be sold on limited registration. It must be spayed/neutered. This dog may conform
to the breed standard, may be of breeding quality and may also have outstanding faults. Again this is determined by
the breeder/seller. This dog is just a companion (pet).
By signing this document and returning it with the deposit you agree to all the terms set in the above contract. No
variations are accepted unless in writing and agreed upon by breeder/seller and buyer with signatures by both
parties.

In consideration for the fee of $________________dollars, a deposit of $______in advance
(deposits are non-refundable unless extreme circumstances to be decided by breeder) and the remainder of
$____________________to be paid upon receipt of the animal or prior to shipping the animal to the buyer, I hereby

If any legal action or litigation is necessary concerning the above animal or this contract, it is to take place in the state
of Florida, county of Sumter, or the current state and county the breeder/seller resides in. No exceptions. All
decisions by the court are final.
Again please note: By signing the above contract you are agreeing that you have read it and understand the
contract in full. No variations are accepted unless in writing and agreed upon by breeder/seller and buyer with
signatures by both parties.
This is a binding contract.
